Amy, try leaving the chickens in the coop longer in the morning. Maybe also set up some nests outside the coop too that are inviting. Dark and easy for them to get into and also easy for you to get the eggs. Maybe you can win this game they play. :-)

I hope this isn't a dumb question... but I feel dumb being outsmarted by my chickens. I have discovered that my German Shepherd is no longer interested in chasing them so I let them free range now. And I can't find their nests. It's like an endless game of hide and seek, and they're winning. I'm finding maybe half their eggs. If you have any suggestions or tips, I'd appreciate it!
