They need calcium supplementation after they start laying,,not before. If you start on layer pellets, they'll get some of what they need, then put oyster shell out for them free fed.

Ok, now I'm tracking, so in two more weeks we'll put up the nesting boxes. I still wonder when I should add calcium in a dish? This worries me greatly, don't want to add to soon or too late. Changing their feed tomorrow, this feels right.
