Please consider putting oyster shell in the corner of their feed dish and poultry vitamins in their water. My mom had a hen that did this and she also saved shells, microwaves them until they start to crackle, then crushes them with her hands after they cool, and sprinkles it on their food.

OK, I have another oddity.
Every once in a while I get an egg with paper thin shell. It collapses in my hand.
I have 9 Rhode Island Reds, I feed them organic pellets and organic scratch.
I also give them greens from the garden, they have plenty of water, they have a dust bath area.
I get one about every 10 to 15 days.
Any ideas?
Thanks
