Important question, the cardinals are landing on the electric fence and dying, we painted all the yellow wires and brackets black and still one died today. We are very stressed about this, is there any solution? >>

Is there any way you can take a picture of the fence arrangement and post it? Normally a bird landing on the electric wire is completely unaffected, because it's not grounded in any way (i.e., touching both the wire AND something like an uninsulated post, the nail holding the bracket, the ground, etc.). I see bluebirds and others land on my electric fences all the time, with no ill effects. Have you found dead cardinals or other birds at the base of the fence? Or seen them drop dead after landing on the wire?
