Bantam Plymouth rock in any color should be a popular chicken. I don't know about the partridge, but my standard whites are intelligent, gentle, and great layers. The barred I have had in the past lived to 13 and 16, still laid, and trained all of my silkies for me. Intelligent, gentle birds. I would not order hatchery, I would get them from a breeder who breeds for egg laying ability along with good dispositions.

Alright, thanks. I'm planning on breeding Partridge Plymouth Rock Bantams (that's a mouthful, I know), just to get the hang of it. I then want to breed Golden Sebrights.
