Amy, I given cockerels that came in an order away free; posted them in Best Farm Buys, Frree Cycle, and on Craigs List. Also dressed out young, small cockerels, put them in the pressure cooker, for soup stock and a bit of meat. As a last resort I have used engine starting fluid to put them to sleep humanely when I could not raise them up or give them away. I guess it is a matter of doing what works for you. Have you seen how teeny of a target a chick's testicles are? They only enlarge after they start maturing. Will you let us know how you do with the procedure?Cathryn rainbowsilkiesTM in Michigan
