Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Is it time for Rooster to go?

Hi Di, if you husband thinks it's ok for his wife to be attacked, it's time to get rid of both Roosters in you household! Just sayin!

Di, you are the best.  I KINDA laughed at your post, but in all seriousness, you speak the absolute truth. Most women are so deflated, they couldn't imagine such an agreement with their spouse. The fear that the husband would get angry and leave is just too great. And women are completely unconscious of their ability to not only SURVIVE without an abusive man, but they can also dictate the desirable behavior.  I'm sure Liz wasn't seeking Cyber-psycho-analysis though!
Liz, get rid of that rooster. Put him on Craig's list for $5. and he will be gone in a few days. Chickens are something that should bring you peace and joy. I think what's cuing Di here, and me, too, is that your husband is probably getting some sort of sadistic pleasure out of watching this rogue "Male" harassing you in ways that he wishes HE could. Animals often unwittingly become 'extensions' of humans, for better or worse!  My sister lived with a very cruel man for 38 years and it took her a long time to realize he didn't really love her...he HATED her.  He'd do so many sneaky mean things that he claimed were just jokes or that he was only kidding. If they are YOUR chickens, then organize the situation so that it brings you happiness, not grief.
Many Blessings!
