Di, you are the best. I KINDA laughed at your post, but in all seriousness, you speak the absolute truth. Most women are so deflated, they couldn't imagine such an agreement with their spouse
I got quite a tickle out of Di's post. I informed my dear hubby before we got married that I would not tolerate drinking (grew up with an alcoholic stepfather) and that if he ever hit me I would be gone, and if we had kids, they would go with me and he would never see any of us again. No arguments, no whining. One time and I was out. It wasn't a warning that was necessary, he is a wonderful husband and father, and now grandfather. I couldn't imagine life without him.
