Re: [CHICKENS-101] Feather pulling/pecking remedy needed

And while we are on the topic of missing feathers, mine were losing feathers too so I dusted them with diatomaceous earth. How many treatments do i need to do in case they have mites? How long before I notice an improvement in their looks? What else could be causing this?

Our chickens were losing feathers on their backs, and hubby thought it was the roosters doing it, so them rascals just 'disappeared'. But it's still happening, so apparently the girls are picking on each other. Not bloody or anything, thankfully, just bald spots. Is there any kind of natural spray that might be used as a deterant to keep them from doing that to each other? Or are they maybe just doing it out of boredom during all this cold weather and being cooped up inside?

Thanks for any help or ideas!
