Liz,
I'm on digest so by the time you get my email you may have already
gotten rid of the offending rooster. If not, get rid of it. It's behavior
towards you will not improve with time. His behavior with the hens will not
improve. He is mean. He is a bully. He is dangerous. You do not deserve
to be bullied by a mean rooster. He will hurt you or (god forbid) someone
else. You don't want to end up in some horrendous lawsuit because your
rooster blinded some innocent bystander! If your husband is overly attached
to the rooster there is always the "3 Ss" (shoot, shovel, and shutup).
