Re: [CHICKENS-101] Finches in the house Warning

My finches are in an aviary.  They entertained the cats when they were inside the house.  Being outside, they love it.  Now, I have more than a few.  Time to get them thinned out.  The cats leave the bigger birds alone, but these little ones must look like moths to them

I have a pair of finches. The male Edgar went psycho on Eliza when she started setting a nest. I separated them into 2 different cages in 2 different rooms. Overnight he escaped his cage (I think with help of one of the cats, strangely it's name is Abracadabra.) Edgar made it thru the living room, down the hall and back into the computer room by hisself! Sonny found him the next morning by the cage. Propped open one of the doors and he went right back in.
Couple months ago we had a House Wren who somehow got in our son's room. Still not sure how it made it in. My inside cats don't bat an eye at my inside chickens but the aforementioned one takes a major interest in the finches. He's scared of my house duck!
