I am really glad that you are having such a greta experience, especially as youtr relatively new to chickens, sorry a hawk got one of your rir's that is one of the hard things about chicken keeping , when you lose them. Whether it is to preditors illness, or even human error, it breaks the heart & plays on the mind. You will get over it, but usually it is a learning curve & we learn better ways of caring for our birds from it.Jane & co
