Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: wild boar meat

NOpe, NM now has a season on them, they started it because they figured it'd be extra $.  TX is still open, and we do shoot when we see them, they'll kill and eat young baby calves.  And they tear up a ton, I just had to gather mini's in the dark because of yet another hole they tore in my fence! UGGGG

To the best of my knowledge, there is a year-round open season on wild
or feral hogs in most of the southern states and some northern ones.
California, of course, treats them as wild game, with licenses and
seasons, which is ridiculous when one is discussing a non-native,
invasive and
dangerous animal that is a threat to wilderness, wild animal
populations, crops and people.

In many places one can shoot them at will, and all over the country, any
hunting guide that is offering guided hunts or fishing trips is also
offering boar hunting, for low prices, because it is legal all year round.

The last National Geographic special I watched described them as a
plague on agriculture and an actual danger to people in 38 states, and
spreading fast.
