I want to give my chickens extra hours of light so they will continue to lay a lot of eggs. I have a red heat lamp that I could use, but I need to know if this would work.
My chickens are kept inside the hen house during the night and mostly free range during the day.
Is it important for chickens to have a winter break from egg laying?
