Nearly a month later,...
"sick hen" as we've been calling her made it through the awful pox. Man, I didn't know it would get that nasty. Last night I put her on the roost with the others and today was a tough day for her. They are giving her a difficult re-introduction. Pecking, chasing, blocking food and water, and generally making her life miserable. She did make it on the roost tonight where as before she was forced to roost somewhere else. I hope that in the next 4 days they will warm up to her and accept her back in. If not I hate to think about what I'll have to do with this loner especially since I spent so much time and $$$ nursing her back to health.
