Doves? I'd have a heart attack if my chickens had doves drinking out of their dishes, much less eating out of them too. They can carry so many zoonoses and avian diseases that you are fortunate to not have problems. Just thinking about it makes me want to put another layer of fencing. I have a huge bag of wild bird netting that has to go up this spring where winter ravaged the old old netting. The main barn pens are done except for one strip of fencing on the one side of the main barn down the middle. There are several more pens to go.

I mix some of their organic crumbles, say 5 lbs at a time, with equal amounts of 3 way scratch grains and about 1/2 lb. of the minerals with oyster shell. I use a big scoop t
