I've been looking at different ways of feeding geese & ducks on internet sites. The feeding of wheat is appealing to me since I live in an area where there is a lot of wheat. I know it would be "fresh". Is there anything else I would need to add to the wheat to make it a better ration? They are all on grass (which consists of rye grass, some legumes, and weeds) at this time. I know that Cathryn uses wheat in her feed mixes as it has a high protein content (from what I've read) so that would be good for growing birds (or silkies that need it for feathering).
Right now everyone seems happy and healthy since they've all been treated. The ones that are still around seemed happy & healthy before anyway so I don't know. I just want to do what's best for them. Their feed is stored way away from the other feed now, and no one but me is allowed to feed them, just to be safe from any feed mix up contamination.
Thank you,
Marla

Their feed starts being buggy, then clumpy, and if you're stupid enough to keep buying it becomes moldy and kills your animals. They were the only place that sold non purina feed around here so I would buy at certain "safer" times of the year only from them.
