[CHICKENS-101] Storms

Well the storms last night roared though here in central Virginia. We were just getting ready for bed when they hit. I was sitting on the bed and felt the house shake. My first thought was” great an earthquake on top of the storm”. Lol Hubby and I went out to check and found it was a pine tree that had come down and the top tip of it hit the porch on our end of the house. No damage to the house, but it came down straight across our chicken tractor with the babies in it. Fortunately it only came down on the run and they were closed in the coop for the night. We had to get up first thing this morning and get the tree off the run and do a quick rigging job to get it to a point where we could let the babies out. Got that taken care of and cut up the rest of the tree. Then went out front where a tree had started to come down and got hung up on the tree beside it. Hubby got it pulled down into the woods. We have leaf litter and debris all over the yard, but no damage to life or property other than the chicken run. Oh yeah, power was out from 10:00 till 6 this morning.
