I would like to know what a chicken saddle is and where would you get them.  sorry I just don't know anything much about chickens

I use chicken saddles also.  My one hen was really wounded.  Had to bring her in the house -- she now wears her chicken saddle.  At first she was uncomfortable with it, but now she has adjusted.  Her feathers are finally growing back. 
I had understood that it was OK to leave them on as long as you keep an eye on them.
