Thanks, I'll try it. Poor girls, we have over 100 days last summer of 100+ straight temps, but I don't remember it being this hot.. And last summer I could spray the coop and pen down with water and it helped, this summer it's not. Which is why they are getting out, I hate it cause I'm worried about something coming and getting them, but it's better than them dying of the heat I guess. I've just been uber vigilant of watching them.

Teresa, I'd guess over heating, heat stroke. I lost 5 when we were still in school and I couldn't be home during the day. Lost 2 more out of 3 that came in when I had school training on a hot day. Haven't lost any since I have been able to be home, but I have not had to deal with 108 degrees. 108... is hotter than their body temp. Once water gets hot it no longer cools them and they have no way to cool off, so they stop drinking. You can also try adding electrolytes and vitamins, along with ice to their cold water. You are fighting temps that are just flat out dangerous..
