I am on my way out to fill water dishes and freezer bags with ice for the silkies. It's horrible here and dry as a bone.
PS Levaquin, face/exposed skin, and sun do not get along. I am wearing hats and long sleeves.

It is very hot here, and the grass in some of the La-dee-da neighborhoods are turning brown. I love the much cooler nights, so I can get some good sleeping in, but a little rain would be nice.

Conyers is not having their fireworks at the Horse Park this year. It's too dry. Not gonna miss it though. SUsan

I brought in a red newborn silkie a little bit ago and all is quiet. The month old must have missed her silkies. Not a peep out of them and they were both still yelling an hour ago.
Moved a bunch of silkies around too. It is going to be very hot tomorrow. I'll move the serama broodies outside with their eggs in the morning.
Has anyone's municipality banned fireworks because of lack of rain? I can't believe my city hasn't banned them because it is so dry. The woods and grass is like tinder.
