[CHICKENS-101] Chicks and mama hen

 

As I have posted, we have a mama hen raising four little chicks. We have had a blast watching them. My question is this. Do hens have favorites in their chicks? I ask because she has two that are a grey color and one that is black and one that is a pale yellow. Mama is a buff color. These are not eggs she laid. The yellow chick is the first one that hatched. Anyway. If we try to pick up any of the three grey or black chicks, she has no problem. But if we try to pick up the yellow chick, she flares her feathers out and charges us. Same when we put the chick back. It is rather funny to see her do this. But she only does it with the yellow chick. Any ideas?
