Laura, The problem with an oil/petroleum based product is it gets on the feathers and wrecks them. I'd put neosporin on her wounds, but if it comes in a cream instead of petroleum, I'd use that instead.
You are right, she needs an antibacterial wound treatment. Does she have deep puncture wounds too?
I bet she loves being a house chicken and is relieved after having such a nightmare, pain filled horror happen to her that she is in the house with her pet human. LOL!
