Subject: [CHICKENS-101] new mamma hen question
I have a year old hen that became broody. We have no rooster but we had
lot's of fertile peacock eggs. She just hatched out 3 baby peachicks and
seems to be taking good care of them. She even brought them out of the coop
yesterday for a walk. Later they were back in the crate huddled under
mamma. My question is: other than leaving chick feed and water available
in the coop, is there anything else I should be doing for them/her? (We're
in central TX where the daytime temps are in the 90s.)
