Sounds like you got a broody hen. She wants to have babies. This would be the time to buy fertile eggs if you want chicks.

Five days ago, one of our four hens will not get up unless I pick her up and move her out of the coup. She will lay there for a while then jump up and run and start eating and pecking around the ground, I put her back in pen and in less than an hour she is back in coup laying down again, any suggestions what to do.
