We have weapons here if needed, but I do a "wait to shoot" if possible. Please keep in mind that bullets don't miss, ever. They do always hit something. Some folks we used to show horses with had coyotes show up at their barn. Their (20's) son decided to blast away with his .22. The coyotes ran away. They later went in the barn to find their beloved multiple National Champion mare Onyx dying of gunshot wounds. It was a heartbreaking lesson :-(

| Good for you, Michele, for handling a potentially terrible incident so well. I grew up in a 'drop 'em where they stand' family so I applaud your actions. Expect him back however. Do you shoot? We have no firearms here, which is probably good, as I'd shoot first and realize there was a hole in the neighbors house second. |
