I have three extremely tame roosters I raised from eggs. But when I tried to introduce three adolescent hens, they initially wouldn't let them into the coop at night. So I waited until everyone was in and sleepy (about 9-10pm) and then I put the new hens in. Bingo. Next day they were all fine together. So I agree with the post that says to sneak them in at night.
