[CHICKENS-101] looking for layers in CT

I have an alpaca farm in Windham, CT. I just added on another pasture and barn and shed for my girls and need new chickens and/or guineas. I tried moving some of my current hens (barred rocks, americana, guinea hen) from the old pasture, but they want to be with "their alpaca". So, I need some new chickens to claim this new pasture, barn and alpacas as their own. Aside from eggs they are invaluable to me by eating bugs and ticks and dropped grain and scattering poop to dry. They will be spoiled!

they will be going right out in to the pasture and barn but will have their own protected area in a run-in shed (nesting boxes, roost area, etc) so young pullets aren't ideal. if they are close to being ready to free range i can lock them in the coop for a while until they acclimate. i am looking for 6-12. i have tried advertising on craigslist and in the paper but either there aren't any in the area or they aren't getting rid of them.

i don't care about size since i already have bantams and standards, color of the bird, color of the eggs, feathers or no feathers. just must like bugs!!
