[CHICKENS-101] I'm like a kid in a candy store right now!!!

 

I got my first egg from my Columbian Cochin bantams today!  Let me tell you it seems like I've been waiting FOREVER for them to finally start laying!

 

I bought eggs from two different breeders last summer, hatched them and kept a trio (a roo from one breeders eggs and 2 hens from another breeders eggs) so that I would have my own unrelated trio.  I have watched them grow from little squiggly spider veins in eggs to this absolutely beautiful trio that they are today. 

 

When winter hit with no eggs, I was bummed.  But knew once the temps warmed up that I would get my cherished eggs.  And now I have!  Woooohoooo!!!
