Re: [CHICKENS-101] Introducing new chickens

It comes with it's own 'holes' for ingress/egress.  : )  Down at the bottom, on 2 sides opposite each other, are slide up doors that allow one to extract the completed compost - or let the chickens out.  : )  Some of the advertising photos show the door open but I don't recall which ones they were.

On top of the unit the photos show 2 round knobs.  Those are the locks and I did not put them on.  I want to be able to lift the top off to put in fresh water, pick up the eggs, etc.  It seriously took about 5 minutes for ME to put together.  No DH's were harmed by the assembly of the Compu-coop!

Yes, you could put a heat lamp in, attached to the lid.  I don't have heat in mine.  It's somewhat protected by being within the screen house and I throw a plastic tablecloth over it at night.

Go to Sam's and look it over - they have one assembled.

OK all joking aside .... on your Compu-Coop ... do you just cut a hole on the side for them to come in? Do you suspend a heat lamp from the top inside?  Maybe a few pic's might help .... you are right on the price..Amazon is almost twice the price.
