[CHICKENS-101] Re: Ducks

I was thinking about getting a duck this spring. We have 3 hens and will be adding a few more. Our yard is not very large, and I was wondering just why a duck's poo smells worse than a chicken's. I know they are messy eaters, and I am not sure if just one or two would be hard to keep their coop clean.

They were too young to go outside since temps were still questionable, so raised them in my bathtub so I had an easy place to clean, and when got bigger I could put some water in there for them to play with. I am fond of them....but GOOD GOD do they SMELL!!! LOL...I think my father I/L's pig's smell better! hehe....but I must admit I do love all thier 'talk' as soon as they see me comming in morning with the fresh water and food. :)
