I once worked at an insurance office - loved the job, until they started making changes in how things were done (one sign of imminent job cut backs). Then they called select people to come to a meeting. While we were waiting, they had police cars pull up. It confirmed to me that we were getting canned and invited to never come back. It was a bad shock to the system, and affected me so much on my next job, that I barely made it through the trial period.
One lady who was called into one of these meetings came back to work the next day, doing her usual thing. She was escorted out by security. I thought that was so sad, especially when she had been good at her job. Things are not always fair.

That's ok, Pete, I was always somewhat vagueish because I was responding within someone's post. But it was BRUTAL Lot of sobbing and loud bitter words.. Several of my co-workers had been with the store 18 years. They are the ones taking jobs with CrossMark, so they will be doing the same work for different bosses.
There is a list of closing stores on the Inernet

- Duh .... yes I now recall a prior conversation about Sam's and you working there doing demo's. Sometimes I really miss my mind :-) I gather they are also closing some stores.... hope not mine as it just opened a year ago. Ever watch some of those "docu-dramas" about WalMart and Sam's on I believe MSNBC or one of those cable news networks? Interesting to see all the conflicts ...
