Indeed, do handle him and snuggle him every chance you get. Feed him treats. Make friends with him, but carry him around and "own" him. You will probably get some GORGEOUS chicks from him and your hens. Of course...that will create a whole 'nuther story!

Cassie, Looking at the photo Pete posted, he is a lovely, very nice, production red. Your rooster has a nice manner, stance in the coop too. Isn't wonderful to get such nice presents. I'd make sure to handle him and carry him around, a lot, so you are head chicken in his head.
