wow....that was the first time I had heard of that connection. So based on that, I wonder if anyone has done any studies to determine if the collapse is greater in areas where tabacco is grown?

I read something (just yesterday, I think) about what they now think may be part of the honey bee colony collapse disorder--a tobacco virus, from the heavily GMO tobacco, which has somehow jumped to honey bees. And there seems to be evidence that GMO traits have jumped to other species--although usually to other plants, not as wildly as the tobacco-virus-to-honey-bee.
