Help! Had 4 chickens for years. No problem. Introduced 18, 6 months ago. No problem. Last week one couldn't walk or stand. Dispatched it in fear it had something contagious. Two days ago another started acting the same way. Next day it was fine and is still fine. Yesterday one of my Buffs is now afflicted, BAD. Last night dusted them for mites and lice, with food grade DE. No powdered DMSO available in our area. Hanging them upside down, dusting, then up-righting them. No problem except the sick one. The minute we turned her over she drained clear liquid - loads of it. Vented not clogged. Up righted her and she couldn't even stand. Have her in quarantine now. We also put out feed wormer just in case. All ideas would be greatly rec'd.
