It's not "strange snow", it's just a matter of temperature.  When it's right on the edge, it melts and refreezes and makes quite a mess.

I'm so glad we don't get snow out here in Central California. I have heat lamps on for our chickens if it gets below 40 degrees!   Speaking of snow...does any one have snow that won't melt, but just turns to ice and sits there?  There's been alot of talk about strange snow lately!
