Honestly, after all the years of cleaning their coop on a daily basis you think they would be use to it by now. I was out there replacing some wood shavings in their nests and roosting place when Imogene came in.
Her name use to be Eggatha because she laid so many eggs but she is an old Biddy now and lays just a few so I thought I would change it to Imogene to take the pressur...e off of her. Anyhow she always comes running in and fusses when the nests are being cleaned.Today she did something different She stood in back of me cackling away but she was standing on one foot and she flapped her wings at me. Then June came in and did the same thing, also standing on one foot.I expected them to break into a dance at any moment.
Nests and roosts all clean. Fresh water and extra food they are all set for the evening. The fussy old birds.
