Every year about this time I start to see signs inviting us (people) to the Sunday Turkey shoot. Hopefully it is only until thanksgiving.
How can they do this?

There's a show on one of the cable channels that is all about the hunting of these wild pigs. I believe one of the hunts is in Florida, the other is Texas. They are done by professional hunters who train there dogs to hunt these wild pigs. Pretty scary stuff and you sure couldn't pay me to hunt one down. The Florida hunters do send their pigs to shelters and places that will take it for food kitchens. And all the hunters say it's really good. I love that kind of turn around. In Maine, sometimes on the islands the game wardens will thin out the deer herds. Then they incinerate the carcases. At least they did when I was a kid, jes a cuplo yeer ago.... Always made me mad!
