I don't know your situation but is there a reason you do not consume your animals when you use a fire arm on them? Or are you just trying to be nice and donating the meat to the poor. I volunteer at a soup kitchen and I love it but they would not eat deer. I know that I would it if I were a meat eater. I would make an exception for some nice fresh deer though.
I do not have a problem with killing animals for food and you do with a bullet, it is the way some people go about doing it. I do not like turkey shoots, it becomes a zoo. My friend's husband goes out to Colorado to kill buffalo with a bow and arrow, I am against that for the simple reason they are not experts and the animal often suffers before it is finished off.
I have chickens but I do not eat them, but there is nothing wrong with that, most farmers know how to respect the animal that they ill, it is the lack of resect for the precious animal I am against.
For the game wardens to kill deer to incinerate them is inherently bad, If you plan to kill them give the animal to someone who will get some benefit from it. That is just a waste, but
that is just my opinion I have no business telling anyone what to do or no do tot heir own animals.
Wow getting off my soap box was a bit hard to do. lol

When I have deer that I have to euthanize (by firearm only, animals that are euthanized with medication have to be properly disposed of) I call the DNR and they allow the carcass to be picked up by processors for use in local soup kitchens.
The DNR officers in my area are always available to me; they respect what I do and have been extremely helpful and I can't thank them enough for all the help that they have, and continue to, provide.
From some of the things I've heard from others, I believe that I have a very fortunate situation here ;)
