RE: [CHICKENS-101] Thin shell

 

No tractor. They roost in coops at night that are shut and reopened in the morning.

 

Grit is not soluble…..it’s tiny little rocks, pebbles, bigger than sand……some mineral matter on it, but not enough to supplement their calcium needs. 

 

 Protection from a Great Pyrenees that takes her job very seriously and patrols her barnyard and the skies.  Even planes are afraid to land!

I disagree totally...I use regular sized grit for everything over a week.
Grit is required---
But how are you defining free range? No tracotr...no protection....just
wander anywhere
On your property at will?
