Remember the baby skunk that used to get into my parent's live trap I wrote about last summer? It demanded treats, wouldn't get out of the live trap until they brought it something. It'd sit in the trap all day with the door open until it was given a bit of egg, meat, or cake. It was back today as a beautiful adult. My mother said the skunk has thick, shiny, luxurious black fur, a double white stripe with black between the stripes down it's back. It has a bushy, thick, white shiny tail with a black stripe down the middle, that gleams with health. My father was going to cover the trap then drag it out to the garden with a rake. The skunk never challenged him. My father didn't bother to cover up the trap, dragged it out to the garden with a hoe so the skunk's little feet didn't drag, opened the trap door and let the little beautiful little creature out. I am waiting for them to name it next. LOL!
I am going to make sure my fencing around the bottom of the coop that is buried is extra strong and still in place. I doubled fenced their coop with fence, then fenced over all of it with 1 inch square plastic fencing to keep the wild birds out.
