[CHICKENS-101] Introducing new members

 

I have to smile a little when I read the comments about how straight runs are 50/50 boys to girls. When I got my Americaunas a few weeks ago I ended up with only one girl and a whole bunch of boys. I've already decided who is going to freezer camp (yes, that means you Mr Cheepers (too noisy) and you Scrapper (you can guess)). Rather than crying in my milk, I'll be going to the feedstore at the end of the month to get my order in for some pullets. (was thinking about a few more Americaunas & some Barred Rocks)

My question is how and when to start introducing them to the others. it's still too cool to put anyone outside but most of the teenagers will be heading for the chicken house by April. Thoughts?
