Diana, Thank you. Silkies are my passion, but: my shorted legged round white laced red cornish are adorable, sweet, gentle, and beautiful. My bantam khaki polish pair from Dave Schwartz are so beautiful, that everyone who sees them has to have a few minutes to stare/observe them. My white rocks from Eric, a member of this group, are regal, gentle, intelligent, mind me, are great egg and meat chickens, and fantastic broodies. My standard white laced red cornish are beautiful, regal, great egg and meat birds who are great broodies. My rumpless barred rock is a funny pet who lays reliably even though she is almost 4. I've had many breeds of chickens over the years that I raised to the standard before I was hurt in a car accident. Also had goats, horses, turkeys, geese, ducks, and did rescue work from dogs to ducks, to house birds. 
I love my pets! Before I was hurt I could do the work of 4-5 people in a day. Now I need hired help to be able to keep my chickens.

Thanks so much! You are a wealth of info for me, as well as others. But I do look to you on Silkie info. I haven't any favorites really, but I probably could. I've decided that when we retire, maybe 10 yrs, we will have a much smaller house with more land so we can have more animals. Of course, I should probably tell my husband....
