Oh my! good thing you were too busy/not in the mood to deal with them at that time!
I watched a bunch of youtube videos (and learned that solid dark that late in the game is probably a good thing)
And we set up a halogen shop light in a box and candled most of the eggs this morning... we are on Day 6 now, some of them have spots, some are still just darkish yolks ... No veining and other than swishing a little, no movement ( might be early for that yet)
Since they wont explode on me, we might as well just let them go till we are 100% sure they wont develop...
in all honesty ... as disappointing as a bad hatch can be, I would be ok with it as I will end up buying some americana chicks as my backup plan
