Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: How much do you feed layers?

Wow, it's amazing that none of you were hurt, thank goodness. Shew.. that would have been scary. I've never been further west than Kentucky, further north than Ohio, or further south than Georgia. I miss living in GA.

Thanks,

Michele in WV

One thing Phoenix has going for it is it is in Arizona and so is The Grand Canyon.  If your DH ever makes it to Phoenix , you must go there!

I went when I was a kid.  We had relatives in Flagstaff and visited with them, saw the canyon on our way east from CA towards MD.  The day we left, not far from Grand Canyon , someone ran us off the road.  This was in 1964……no seatbelts, my three sisters and I were asleep…….our car flipped three times and we crawled out the windshield ……………..it was scary, but nobody was hurt, amazingly.  My mom and two younger sisters and I ended up flying the rest of the way home while my Dad and older sister stayed while the car we were towing was repaired.  They drove from AZ to PA in an Austin Healy Sprite……how uncomfortable that must have been!  The staion wagon took months to repair and was never right after that.  After my folks got it back the first time, it had to go in for constant repairs and FINALLY the insurance company totaled it.  My Dad was enlisted Navy and money was not plentiful…….especially with a wife and four daughters!

I can't help remembering the accident whenever I hear Grand Canyon !

Anyway, Phoenix is nice for those who can't take humidity.  I don't think they have much mold there!

I can't imagine why. It is not a pretty place. Very hot in summer. Not really warm enough to be comfortable in winter. Nothing really special to do there. Just a fairly big city with lots of traffic, air pollution, noise and crime. Not even much culture. Lots of better American cities to visit.
