Re: [CHICKENS-101] nite guard?

They are new to me but look interesting.  At $30. a pop I'd probably order only 1 to make sure it's not going to be annoying to neighbors.  I would need 6 to surround my chicken run, plus any I mounted for overhead protection.

Hi All,

I read about the nite guards in a Backyard Poultry magazine a friend lent me.  Does anyone have these?  Do they work?

Is there a way to make something like this on your own?

I lost 2 chickens last summer to possibly a raccoon.

Here is what someone wrote on their web site:

"At last, a trick that works! I am a fancy fowl hobbyist and have had everything from owl, weasel, coyote and coons as culprits. This year I read your article in Backyard Poultry and decided to try the Nite Guard. I have not lost a single critter to predators since putting the Nite Guard in place. I highly recommend the Nite Guard. It is a great investment."

Thanks for your input!
