No, my sister doesn’t have chickens, but she DOES have four parrots. Corky was very good with them.
I believe Corgis were bred to herd cattle. Their short stature is low enough to the ground to avoid being kicked. NOW, I have never tested this theory, but it makes sense. I can see my taller Border Collie being kicked in the head by a cow, although both of her parents were working dogs on a cattle ranch. We saw her sire in with a steer and the steer backed itself into a corner and wouldn’t move. The handler told the dog, “Bitem!” and that dog jumped into the steers face and bit his nose! The steer left that corner quickly and the dog was able to herd it where the handler wanted it.
I have seen Corgis used to herd ducks and geese, too.

My dad told me he read that Corgis were bred to guard chickens. Does your sis have chickens? Or do you know how they are with them?
