> Here's how I made mine. I took a 5 gal bucket w/a lid and took a hole saw and cut 5 maybe 6 or so 1 1/4 inch holes in the bottom. I had a 25 gal white barrel that had a hole in the side and cut the bottom off and left a 2 to 3 inch lip on it. I drilled holes for bolts in the bucket and holes in the bottom of the barrel. The barrel was just big enough to leave about 1 1/2 to 2 inches (give or take) bigger around than the bucket. I put spacers, like an 2 inch peices of 1/2 inch plastic water line over each bolt and the bolts were long enough that after the spacers there was extra to put nuts on the bottom of the barrel and voila. A homemade feeder that will hold close to 25lbs of layer pellets. Big enough for the girls and chad to eat but not enough space for Jake to get his big nose in it. If I can build one, anyone can.
