Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Fw: Monsanto vs. the Monarchs

Sharon ..... I can see your point and on some lists that is the rule/ law.  However on Chickens101 we have more of a sense of community and friendships do develop ..... that said when members have issues and problems they get answers.  Questions are responded to and with a wide variety of views and experience.  DO we get off topic ...ya and quite a bit at times .... but it keeps things moving and not stagnant.  The only time I step in is if members step out of line or flame another member.  Hope this answers your concern ...if not I am always available.

discussing the disappearance of butterflies due to pesticides, etc is not what i'm objecting to...

yes anything that influences our environment (non-GMO and non-Toxic world) of course affects the raising of chickens, and ourselves...that's not what i'm objecting to...

but, blogs of a daily-living-diary of non-chicken, activities is what i am object to...forums can get really off topic, like discussing things that have nothing to do with our environment or our raising chickens...discussion of the book is just fine b/c it has to do with chickens, but discussing kindle in depth, or going to weed my neighbors garden, my knees hurt, i've got a cold, or knowing that you traveled south and saw so-and-so, i think doesn't belong on a chicken forum...

i think it's grand to get to know each other as people, but i would prefer if you do so privately...doesn't belong on a chicken forum......i've joined to learn about chickens, share my concerns, and ask advice from the knowledgeable ones...i greatly appreciate your williness to share your knowledge and opinions so that i can learn more about raising my chickens...i have seen other forums have entries by the same people over and over and discuss, at length, their daily lives...info that has nothing to do with chickens and slowly people who contributed stop joining in, b/c the topic has nothing to do with chickens... i just don't want that to happen to this forum, which i highly value...i want your opinions about my raising chickens, and i'm just giving my opinions about keeping the forum to topic...

thanks for listening...
