We had a scorcher yesturday. I have put the hens out and let them find cool spots themselves.The eggs were very hot when collected.The chicks are 4 weeks old and very ugly with feathers developing and features ,long legs and scrawny.By 6 weeks they will look more like hens/cockerals? I have enjoyed them and my splash hen is a great mother.I think Lola is nearly over them and enjoying the free ranging again.
This is my last day of work for a while-looking forward to a quiet break with the animals. Happy Christmas.Book book to you! :)
